Privacy Policy

notyos (“we,” “us”) is operated by Theory Road LLC. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit notyos.com, how it’s used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plainspoken about it.
What we collect
Basic request data — IP address, user agent, pages visited, and referrer. Standard server logs; used to keep the site running, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate traffic patterns.
Analytics & tag management — we use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and Pinterest Tag to measure engagement and attribute traffic. These services set cookies and may collect device, browser, and behavioral data. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics and ad cookies default to denied until you accept via our cookie banner. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time with the official opt-out extension, opt out of Meta ad personalization in your Facebook ad preferences, and opt out of Pinterest personalization in your Pinterest privacy settings.
Your consent— our cookie banner lets you choose “Accept all” (analytics + ad cookies) or “Only essential” (strictly necessary cookies only). Your choice is stored in a cookie named notyos_consent for one year. You can change your mind any time by clearing that cookie and reloading the page.
Advertising — Google AdSense serves ads on this site and may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to show relevant ads. You can manage ad personalization at Google My Ad Center and opt out of personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
User-submitted content — if you submit a review, comment, or recipe, we store what you send us (text, optional display name, optional photo) and an IP hash for abuse prevention. Display name is optional. We never publish your IP address or email.
Email signups — if you join the list, we store your email in Klaviyo and send you newsletters with a one-click unsubscribe.
Cookies
Cookies are small files used for analytics, advertising, and session state. Your browser lets you block or delete them at any time. Blocking cookies may limit some features (e.g., remembering which recipes you’ve voted on).
Third parties
We use: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and storage), Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google AdSense, Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Klaviyo (email), and Anthropic (content moderation on user submissions). Each has its own privacy policy governing data they receive.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@notyos.com. If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / CCPA — we’ll honor them the same way for every visitor.
Children
notyos is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
